The French Cultural Center is proud to welcome back Master Perfumer Christophe Laudamiel for an exclusive hands-on talk and presentation giving you a special chance to discover some of the scents preserved in the Osmoth¨que - the official International Perfume Archive, headquartered in Versailles, France.

This time Mr. Laudamiel's talk will focus exclusively on the landmark scents created by Fran§ois Coty and the Guerlains at the turn of the 20th century.

Discover the background of these master perfumers, hear anecdotes about their personal lives and smell the seminal fragrances that created the families that are still with us today. For instance, compare the iconic Chypre by Fran§ois Coty that bred hundreds of scents past and present, with the ephemeral Chypre created by Guerlain that is unavailable to the public...We will uncork rare bottles of these scents (e.g., versions from the 20's, 60's and today) in order to compare them.

Reception to follow.

About Christophe Laudamiel

There are hundreds of fragrances out on the market that bear familiar names like "Dior," "Calvin Klein," "Dolce & Gabbana" and so on. But there are only a handful of perfumers who are capable of creating the scents for these brands. Christophe Laudamiel is one of these elite 'noses.'

Christophe Laudamiel is a world-renowned perfumer, osmocurator and trained chemist who has created fragrances for famous houses such as Estee Lauder, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Tom Ford, Clinique, Michael Kors, Humiecki & Graef and Abercrombie & Fitch. He is now Master Perfumer and President of DreamAir LLC, a unique enterprise in bespoke fragrances and Air Sculpture designs.
