Artist Lecture: Julian Voss-Andreae presents Sculpture Inspired by Proteins, Physics and People
Art and science collide and combine in painter-turned physicist-turned sculptor Julian Voss-Andreae's studio. Starting out as a painter Julian Voss-Andreae changed course as a young man and studied physics, mathematics, and philosophy before pursuing research in experimental physics and quantum behavior for Carbon-60 "buckyballs". Then, in the new millennium, Voss-Andreae returned to the creative arts when he moved to the United States to study Sculpture at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. Join us for an illustrated lecture featuring Julian Voss-Andreae's large-scale outdoor sculptures and learn how his background in physics and mathematics inspire his creativity and bold artwork. See examples of Voss-Andreae's monumental art installations at //julianvossandreae.com/works/.
