Mali's great kora player Ballaké Sissoko and eclectic French cellist Vincent Ségal blend the sounds of bowed and plucked strings to mellifluous, virtuosic effect. Together, they craft a modern sensibility where West African and European origins are relevant but secondary to connection and presence in the moment.
"The interplay between this African harp and the cello was transcendent."--Bob Boilen (Host, NPR, All Songs Considered)
