Gloucester Schooner Festival
Sail away from your daily life and into the 31st Annual Gloucester Schooner Festival, which will take place in Gloucester Harbor over Labor Day Weekend, September 4-6, 2015. The festival honors the major role the fishing schooner has played in the heritage of Gloucester and along the eastern seaboard. Immerse yourself in the history and the beauty of these ships and experience a tradition and art form that dates back to the early 1700's. Festival highlights include the Maritime Gloucester Heritage Day on Saturday, September 5 from 9:30 - 3:00 pm and the Parade of Sail starting at 10:30 am on Sunday September 6. In addition to these great events, the Gloucester Schooner Festival will have fireworks, a Parade of Sail, the Mayor's Race and much more!
