This eco-friendly, river front home in Colrain, Massachusetts is situated in a slice of rural paradise, yet close to downtown historic Shelburne Falls and year-round recreational activities.

The house is situated on 2.9 acres of flatland and wooded slope down to the beach edge of the North river where you can set in your row boat. Follow the river a half mile downstream to the intersection with the Deerfield River.

The 1280 square foot house includes a large 20' x 28'great room including kitchen, dining and living areas, with 24 feet of glass wall. The kitchen has new appliances including dishwasher and gas range. Concrete counters are easy to maintain and open shelving above the counters enables easy finding and reaching of the full array of dishes and cups.

Three bedrooms and 1 ½ baths are down the hall with full laundry washer and dryer. The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds, and the third bedroom has a queen size futon.

The house was built with attention to a healthy and non-toxic interior. Passive solar heating and a radiant floor heat work to keep the interior very comfortable and energy efficient.
