Divergence: Shaping the Land, Photographs by Rhea Banker
Shelburne Falls photographer Rhea Banker has found inspiration in the geology of far flung regions of the earth. Her interests have taken Banker to the Svalbard Archipelago near the Arctic Circle, along the west coast of Greenland, Scotland, Copenhagen and moving south, to Buenos Aires. This exhibit grounds Banker in the place she now calls home, New England. These photographs represent her immersion in the land right here. Rhea is an artist who sinks deeply into a region, looking to understand the geology, the culture, and the way the earth documents all these shifts through time.
