The holiday season is among us! So, with the cold weather churning outside, and those busy holiday schedules, why not relax and unwind with a Massachusetts holiday-themed getaway?
From the Greater Boston area to Western Massachusetts and the Berkshires, these holiday hotel packages are ready for the taking!

Greater Boston

The Liberty Hotel: “On Top of the Liberty” — Ring in the New Year in style at one of Boston’s hippest hotels in the historic Beacon Hill neighborhood. Accommodations include an overnight stay in a luxury guest room, two admission tickets to the “On Top of the Liberty” New Year’s Eve party, Molten Brown Recovery Eye Cream at turn down, and a 2:00 p.m. extended check out on January 1, 2013. Rates start at $529. 
Millennium Hotel & Resorts – Special Offers — Choose from one of two holiday packages at this luxury hotel, which is just steps from Faneuil Hall. Get in the holiday spirit with the Boston Holiday Stroll package, which includes two tickets for a guided holiday stroll of the historic Freedom Trail. Or, take some of the stress away from buying gifts with the Holiday Shopping package that includes special offers to the shops at Faneuil Hall. All of the packages include a minimum $50 credit to North 26 Restaurant & Bar. Rates start at $179.
Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel: Turkey Time-Out Package — This package promises relaxation and will allow a reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Accommodations include: aromatherapy bath salts or relaxing facemask, two calming “In-Law Equalizer” cocktails, and a complimentary movie. Package valid through December 30, 2012 and rates start at $189..com
XV Beacon: Winter Wishes — Help ease the harsh bite of winter with this heartwarming and spirit lifting deal in one of Boston’s most chic boutique hotels. The package includes two tickets to the Boston Common Frog Pond ice skating rink, two hot toddies from the hotel lounge, late check-out at 2 p.m., and a food credit of $40 in Mooo. The Eliot Hotel: First Night Package — This New Year’s Eve package includes two First Night buttons and the official First Night Guide, a one-bedroom suite, complimentary overnight valet parking, and Continental breakfast for two in the hotel’s restaurant, Clio. The package starts at $435, and available December 28, through January 1.

North Shore

Salem Waterfront Hotel: Home for the Holidays — While it’s true, there is no place like home for the holidays, sometimes there just is not enough space! Enjoy luxury, beautiful waterfront views, and exceptional hospitality including breakfast for two and warm cookies and milk delivered to your room upon arrival.
Harbor Light Inn: Winter Getaway — Choose from a variety of seasonal packages at the Harbor Light Inn. Depending on the length of your stay and the pricing that matches your budget, you could choose anything from a one-night package to a four-night escape. You may choose to cuddle up in a room with a fireplace, or perhaps splurge for the deluxe fireplace jacuzzi suite for romance, relaxation, or both! Rates start at $349.
Quarterdeck Inn by the Sea — This inviting little inn is tucked along the Rockport shoreline, steps away from boutique shops and some of the best seafood imaginable. Indulge in a little time away this year and stay for a night or two (or three)! Seasonal discounts include half off of the second night, or a three-night stay with the third night free. Rates start at $129.
Coco Key Water Park Package — Although Massachusetts is one of the best places to embrace the snowy winter, the appeal of a tropical getaway is undeniable and with Coco Key Indoor Water Park in Danvers, it is a lot closer. The Ultimate Water Park Package includes two $20 arcade cards, breakfast buffet for four, and access to the park from 4 p.m. on the day of your arrival and all day the following day for a party of four. Rates start at $259 for a family of four.

South Shore

John Carver Inn: Holiday Festival of Lights Package — Light up your season at the Edaville Festival of Lights and an overnight stay in nearby Plymouth. Enjoy costumed carolers and partake in the Edaville train ride, a tradition that has lasted for five generations. The package includes a night in a superior room, two tickets to Edaville Railroad’s Festival of Lights, and $100 in dining, lodging, and shopping certificates. Rates start at $139.

Western Massachusetts

Hampton Inn-Springfield: “During the Holidays” Package — Stay a short three miles away from one of the greatest Christmas light presentations in Massachusetts. The Hampton Inn-Springfield’s “During the Holidays” package includes deluxe overnight accommodations, entrance for one car to Bright Nights light extravaganza, and a $20 gift certificate to Yankee Candle. Rates start at $149.
1896 House: Sleigh Ride & Supper Package — Enjoy a 45-minute scenic ride through an alpaca farm with a team of Belgian Horses with the 1896 House Sleigh Ride & Supper Package. Look for Mt. Greylock, the highest peak in Massachusetts before reaching a cabin in the woods where you will receive hot cocoa! The package also includes a $35 gift card to the Inn’s Pub. Rates start at $129.
Blantyre: New Year’s Celebration — Welcome in the New Year at the Blantyre in Lenox, which has been deemed one of the most romantic properties in the United States. The package includes tea upon arrival and a three-course dinner with wine chosen by the Blantyre’s sommelier on December 30;  a seven-course New Year’s Eve dinner with wine; entertainment provided by the Sultans of Swing; champagne, caviar, and canapés; early morning soup and sandwiches; brunch on New Year’s Day; and a horse drawn sleigh ride. The Blantyre’s New Year’s Eve Celebration package is $1,000 per person.
Deerfield Inn: Gift Night Special — Get a jump on your holiday shopping while enjoying a quiet weekend away at the Deerfield Inn with the Gift Night Special. The Hotel Northampton: Santa’s Arrival Special — Greet the upcoming holiday season and Santa as he arrives on a fire engine at the Hotel the day after Thanksgiving. Afterward, enjoy complimentary cookies and hot chocolate to begin the holiday season. Rates start at $181.

Cape Cod and the Islands

Cape Codder Resort & Spa: Enchanted Lights Package — Start the holiday season at the Enchanted Village in Hyannis, which boasts more than 100,000 lights. The package includes one night in a deluxe room, half off of a second night, and $100 in dining, lodging, and shopping certificates to Catania Hospitality Group venues. A visit to the Enchanted Village includes quality time with Santa, costumed carolers, and a winter night bonfire! The light displays last until January 2, 2013. Rates start at $129 per night.
The Nantucket Hotel: Winter Getaway Package — Relax with a peaceful December weekend away in Nantucket. Enjoy the island’s boutique shops and restaurants, colorful lights, and holiday decorations. The Winter Getaway package includes a daily full breakfast for two, two tickets to the Whaling Museum or two tickets to the movies, and pick up and drop service to the ferry terminal. Guests staying two or more nights in a suite will receive one additional night free. Rates start at $215 per night.
Bayside Resort: North Pole Express Package — A fun-filled event for the entire family, read along with the story of The Polar Express as the train makes its journey to the North Pole. Meet Santa and enjoy caroling, hot cocoa, a treat, and a special gift for each child. The package includes two nights of deluxe queen accommodations, two tickets aboard the North Pole Express with additional tickets available ($24/child, $29/adult), and a 6 p.m. late checkout on Sunday. The package starts at $249.95 and is available on weekends – November 16, through December 23.
