October 2019

Dear Colleagues,

Foliage tours, cultural events, regattas on the Charles River and Halloween hijinks create the perfect motif for visitors coming to Massachusetts this time of year.  In October 2018 we welcomed 3 million domestic and international visitors, representing 10% of our 31 million visitors.  Read full details on Massachusetts’ 2018 visitation and spending data below.

This month the new Restaurant Promotion Commission meets on October 15 to examine how best to promote the growth and vitality of our restaurant industry.

In our MA Spotlight, we are pleased to profile Kathy Abbott, president and CEO of Boston Harbor Now, a terrific organization that promotes the 34 islands in Boston Harbor to residents and visitors alike.

Thank you for working with MOTT and our partners to promote Massachusetts as a top destination for leisure and business travel.

Sincerely,

 Keiko Matsudo Orrall
 Executive Director
