Winter in Central Massachusetts

1 Dogsledding with NORTHERN EXPOSURE OUTFITTERS
Brookfield
Northern Exposure Outfitters is a family operation with dogsledding both at their farm in Brookfield and in Rutland State Park. Spend a few hours with their team of dogs to learn how to become a musher and dash through the snow.
2 LUNCH AT ARMSBY ABBEY
Worcester
Locally sourced, seasonally inspired fare, a wide selection of beers and craft cocktails make up the menu at Armsby Abbey. Try one of the sandwiches made from Crust Bakeshop bread located right next door.
3 SNOW TUBING AT SKI WARD SKI AREA
Shrewsbury
Grab a tube and hit the slides. Choose from one of the two lifts, get a running and start and fly down one of the eight slides at Ski Ward.
4 WINE TASTING AT NASHOBA VALLEY WINERY
Bolton
Nashoba Valley Winery is housed inside a rustic farmhouse built in 1923. Today it is Massachusetts’ leading fruit wine producer, but also offers grape wines, micro-brewed beers, Port style wines, ice wines and fortified wines that are all available for tasting après-snow.
