Fall 2017, Extension to Yarmouth
Yarmouth’s extensive network of cycling paths and roadways has been supplemented by the Rail Trail extension. This section can be cycled presently by parking at the lot west of the intersection of Old Townhouse and West Yarmouth Roads and continuing south on Forest Road to Long Pond Road.
Cape Cod Inflatable Park Expansion
West Yarmouth, MA
Cape Cod Inflatable park plans to expand on an adjacent 1½-acre property purchased by Park owner Joseph Maramma. The plan is to demolish the existing building and use 35,000 square feet to expand the water features of the Route 28 Park. Planned is a “lazy river”-style attraction plus some features for adults. The construction will be started in September and the new space should be open in time for the 2018 season.

As announced last summer, Brandon Baltzley and Laura Higgins-Baltzley have made the Buffalo Jump pop-up permanent, taking over food operations at Coonamessett Farm in East Falmouth with a daytime cafe and multi-course fine dining several nights a week.

Years in the making, the Naukabout Brewery & Taproom is finally open and pouring beers. Ten Pin Eatery has officially open its doors for dining, play, and all things fun! Ten Pin Eatery is a joint venture between two long-time Cape Cod businesses – Chapin’s Restaurant Group and Ryan’s. It features a 300-seat restaurant and bar area, more than twenty TVs and several large projection screens, 8 lanes of ‘Ten Pin’ bowling, 3 additional private bowling lanes, a Cape Cod-themed laser tag arena, an arcade area and a VIP lounge for special events.

Rectrix Aviation launched nonstop service between New York’s LaGuardia International Airport and Nantucket Memorial Airport on June 7, 2018. The Rectrix Shuttle departs from the Sheltair gate at the Marine Air Terminal at LaGuardia Airport and arrive at the Rectrix gate at about one hour later. The carrier offers connecting service to Barnstable Municipal Airport from the island.
The service will run Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays and be serviced by Rectrix’s Beech Super King Air B300 turbo-prop aircraft.
