To say we’re kind of into sports here would be like saying Larry Bird was kind of good at basketball. You can’t go far in Massachusetts without spying someone sporting a Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins, Patriots, or Revolution logo. We live for singing Sweet Caroline at Fenway Park, Pats playoff games in the snow, and losing our voices cheering for the Bs and the Cs at the Garden. This is where the curse was reversed, where the Big Three dominated the courts, and where a 600-lb bronze statue of Bobby Orr reminds us what legends are made of. Our obsession with sports goes beyond the pros, with the amateur Cape Cod Baseball League; Head of the Charles, the country’s largest regatta; and the epic feats of athleticism and human spirit that brings the world together, the Boston Marathon.
