Best known as the singer and frontman for the chart-topping 90's alt-rock band Toad the Wet Sprocket, Glen Phillips has had himself quite a second career as a solo artist. Mixing his uncanny gift for melody with thoughtful, introspective lyrics, Phillips' sound has remained as infectious as ever, deftly shifting from melancholic country folk to punchy power pop with ease. The Santa Barbara-based singer-songwriter has released six records under his own name since going solo in 1998, not including frequent recording and touring collaborations with the folk/bluegrass band Nickel Creek. Phillips joined Toad the Wet Sprocket when he was just 14 years old. The band hit it big in 1991 with their third record Fear, the album riding the popularity of two massive pop hits "All I Want" and "Walk on the Ocean." Just this past fall, Phillips reunited Toad the Wet Sprocket to release the reunion record New Constellation, their first studio record in 16 years. Natalia Zukerman is nothing if not versatile. In addition to performing her own shows of original music, over the years Zukerman has played lap steel, bass and/or guitar alongside Janis Ian, Susan Werner and Willy Porter, toured collaboratively with fellow artists Garrison Starr, Louise Taylor, Erin McKeown, Sam Baker and John Fullbright, with her art and music project comrade AG(Adrianne Gonzlez), with percussionist and vocalist Mona Tavakoli (Jason Mraz, Raining Jane) and with her annual holiday group Winterbloom (Antje Duvekot, Anne Heaton, Meg Hutchinson). Her collaborative nature was captured on her critically-acclaimed double live album Gypsies & Clowns recorded in 2012.
