To celebrate Veterans Day, Old Sturbridge Village will present special activities celebrating the nation's military history. See how lead musket balls were cast in the Small House, and get your initials stamped on your own musket ball at the Blacksmith Shop. Meet a U.S.S. Constitution 1812 surgeon and the U.S.S. Constitution's Marines, listen to fife and drum music, and watch a cannon demonstration. See how American military uniforms and weapons have changed over the past 300 years and see demonstrations of the weapons. Weather conditions could impact where and how certain activities take place. Children will get an opportunity to drill with toy muskets under the command of the Captain of the Village militia. All active, veteran and retired members of the military and their families* receive free admission on Veterans Day. (*up to 6 people.)
