Hog Island Beer Company
Orleans, MA
Hog Island Beer Company is new brew pub claims it was built and brewed by locals at its on-site Outermost Brewery and, since opening a few months ago, drank by locals and visitors, too! The owners named the new enterprise after a paddleboard trip to uninhabited Hog Island located on Little Pleasant Bay in Orleans overlooking famed Nauset Beach and the dune shacks that dot its coast. There is a persistent rumor that Captain Kidd buried treasure on Hog Island. The beers they currently brew — Wheat, IPA and Stout (followed soon by Pale Ale, Irish Red and Brown) — are treasures, too! The brew pub is now open daily from 11:30AM – 10PM! It is a terrific spot after the beach as they provide live music at the Beer Company seven nights a week from 6-9PM. Tours of the Brewery will soon be available; contact the Brewery via email or phone (above) for tour or other information. The entire operation is located behind Jailhouse Tavern!
