The Fairhaven Academy was built as a private secondary school in 1798 and one of its original classrooms is intact. The building also houses the Fairhaven Visitors Center and the Historical Society Museum. Art and artifacts from Fairhaven's past are displayed along with brochures and maps of local attractions. Open year round Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Also open Sunday afternoons during June, July, August and September.
