The National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture is the only museum in the country who teaches black history "through the eyes of a doll collector". One of New England's newest cultural attractions the museum opened its door in 2012 as a 501(c)3 non-profit with 6,275 dolls of color dating back to the 18oo's.Located in Mansfield the museum has seven permanent galleries including a sports,fashion and music room, replica African "Dogon" hut, slave ship girth and rotating main gallery. African wrap figure workshops onsite for all ages and genders.
