Massachusetts Welcomes New Lodging

New and renovated lodging properties will encourage tourism to the Bay State

BOSTON – April 7, 2014 –Half the fun of traveling to a new destination is where you stay. This is where you make your home away from home for a few days, maybe even a few weeks. Sometimes we seek out luxury in a five-star hotel to be waited on hand and foot. Sometimes we search for a cozy bed and breakfast to relax and curl up with a book. And sometimes we want to feel like we are “in the know,” spending our nights at the hottest new boutique hotel.

This year, Massachusetts will see at least 15 new boutique, luxury and chain properties pop up throughout the state. Many of the properties will be located near the South Boston Waterfront District (also known as the Innovation District) and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center.

Upcoming hotel build-outs scheduled for 2014 to 2016:
