Saturday, April 6 Collaborative Art Project: Center Stage Backdrop | 10 am - 4 pm | Atrium Work with visual artist Adrian Galvin in a hands-on art making experience to create the backdrop that will be used in Sunday's dance performance by Dakshina. Cooking Demonstration: The Healing Value of Indian Spices | 11 am | Bartlett Gallery | Reservations by March 29 Food expert Shruti Mehta demonstrates the art of making the popular Paan (Betel leaf) as well as Chai. Art Activity: Painting with Pigment | 11 am - 3pm | For families with children 3 and up Make your own colorful artwork inspired by Midnight to the Boom using dry pigments and water. Story Time: Elephant Dance | 11:30 am - noon | Meet at information desk Join Ravi as he experiences his grandfather's captivating stories about India in Elephant Dance, by Theresa Heiner and illustrator Sheila Moxley. Artist Talk: Raghava KK | 1 - 2 pm | Morse Auditorium | For adults | Reservations by April 4 Raghava KK presents his journey as an artist and concludes by showcasing his latest art project, a brainwave installation. Dance: Dakshina Dance Company | 12 - 12:45 pm and 2:30 - 3:15 pm | Atrium Dakshina presents Vasanth, a retelling of the Indian myth that describes the return of spring to earth after years of desolation. Art Workshop: Shadows that Misbehave | 2:30 - 4:30 pm | Bartlett Gallery | Reservations by April 2 Raghava KK teaches students how to express themselves with confidence by giving emotion and personality to their own cartoon creations. Concert: Lakha Khan | 3:30 - 4:45 pm | East India Marine Hall Come hear Lakha Khan, one of the last remaining sarangi players among the Manganiyars, a community of Muslim musicians who live in the desert state of Rajasthan in Western India.
