Description:
"Unearthed" presents historical objects never before seen in the United States, excavated from three tombs in the provinces of Shanxi and Gansu. These archaeological treasures express the dynamic social and cultural changes taking place in northern China from the fifth to eleventh centuries that were the consequence of the Silk Road trade routes, the military and political ascendance of northern nomadic tribes, and the eventual reunification of north and south China.
