Sunday, August 12, A Special Guest Arrives in New Plymouth (Mynheer Jan Jacobsen) With a Pokanoket man as a guide, Mynheer Jan Jacobsen is welcomed after walking from Cape Cod. He had sailed there from Ft. Amsterdam (Manhattan Island) in his ship the Drie Koningen bringing gifts and letters from the recently founded Dutch colony. Come get an up-close-and-personal glimpse of early colonial politics.
