Time Travel with us to the heyday of the trolley in Western Massachusetts. Through the objects, costumes, images and everyday items of life at that time, lecturer Reba-Jean Shaw-Pitchette will lead a rediscovery of this rich period in our local history. Daily life was changing but growth and the modern age were not universally embraced. There was much local uproar against the invasion of this new, faster, noisy, and dangerous lifestyle.Trolley
Reba-Jean Shaw-Pichette has been a museum educator and speaker with the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association (PVMA) Deerfield Teacher Center since 1997. She has also been a living history liason with the Veteran's Education Project for many years and is currently the Curator of Ephemera at the Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum. Shaw-Pitchette has previously worked with Wistariahurst for the Follow the Thread historical fashion show.
