Spend a wonderful spring weekend on Nantucket Friday, June 1 through Sunday, June 3, 2012 A Gourmet Fishing Weekend From Nantucket's finest businesses, for friends or a family of four. Your party will arrive on Nantucket via Cape Air, one of the largest independent regional airlines in the United States. A lovely, cozy dockside cottage, owned and operated by world-class Nantucket Island Resorts, awaits for your accommodations fronting scenic Nantucket Harbor. You'll discover a welcoming bag of goodies from Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce member merchants, including gift certificates to the island's independent bookseller Nantucket Bookworks. Your Friday night dinner will be at the intimate Oran Mor Bistro, where owner-chef Chris Freeman and his staff will prepare a sumptuous gourmet meal. After breakfast on Saturday, you'll board The Albacore sport fishing vessel with guide and owner-captain Bob Decosta, one of Nantucket's best known anglers and an accomplished sport fishing guide for over four decades. On Saturday night, private chef Dean Miller, of Fusion of Flavor catering company, will create a memorable menu at your cottage featuring your day's catch (or fresh fish from an island market if necessary). On Sunday, it's on to a leisurely bicycling tour of historic sites and natural wonders of Nantucket, with Nantucket Bike Tours and its founder Jason Bridges. Along the way, you'll stop at Nantucket's Cisco Brewers, the island's award-winning brewery adjacent to Nantucket Vineyard, winery and distillery. Sunday afternoon is departure time from what's sure to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience on themagical Gray Lady. Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce launched these occasional auctions to help promote the island's singular natural beauty, its historic sites and the Chamber's member merchants.
