Dates: Sat, Mar 23, 2013
Times: 7:30 pm-9:30 pm
Description:
On Saturday, March 23, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Danforth Museum of Art will host Over the Moon: a night of live music by guitarist Jimmy Lanzillotta, sparkling wines, gourmet desserts from Broadway Gourmet of Boston, and art making. The event is a fundraiser for the Deborah D. Blumer Fund, which supports the Danforth's art education program. Children's book artist Andrew Glass, illustrator of Eric A. Kimmel's Moby Dick: Chasing the Great White Whale, will be attending to sign books and discuss his art, and his visit is made possible through Framingham Reads Together. Tickets are $65 for Danforth members, $75 for nonmembers, and $85 at the door. Groups of six or more can purchase tickets in advance for $60. Framingham residents can purchase tickets in advance for $50 each, provided they register in groups of six or more.
