Celebrate the splendors of Christmas past at Christmas Lore & Legends, the Fall River Historical Society's 2012 Holiday Open House. The Society's grand Victorian mansion is lavishly decked out for the season, and featured this year are four unique themed Christmas trees: Ode to Marie Antoinette, The Krampus, Nussknacker Festival, and O Tannenbaum. A wide array of special gifts and seasonal goodies await in the Museum Shop and McWhirr's Candy Store, and original artwork by local artists can be purchased at Palette Pictures, a silent auction of art by local artists. Complimentary tours end at 4:00 pm. Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas days, and at noon on 12/30. Admission is free.
