Poetry Night at the Meeting House

Dates: Thu, Apr 25, 2013
Times: 6:30 pm

Description:
Celebrate National Poetry Month with a fun evening of poetry reading and lively discussion honoring the many poets who have contributed to the Meeting House's rich history and--at a time when the building's demolition seemed imminent--its very survival. National Park Service Ranger Rob Velella will lead participants through a celebration of poets from Phillis Wheatley to Edward Everett Hale, from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow to the author of "Mary Had a Little Lamb." Co-sponsored by Longfellow House-Washington's Headquarters National Historic Site. This program is made possible by funding from the Lowell Institute. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
