Founded in 1853, the OCHS collects and shares the Taunton region's history. The museum specializes in local decorative arts, industrial, and cultural objects. Collections include furniture, portraits, toys, stoves, military items and silver. Changing exhibits highlight diverse topics. The library is an excellent regional source for genealogy and local history. The program series of OCHS Meetings and seasonal open houses are free and open to the public.
