You know those museums that are really quiet and you can’t touch anything? These are definitely not those museums. Take the Boston Children’s Museum. It’s one-of-a-kind, world-renowned center for enrichment. But the kids don’t care about that. They just like that it’s as fun as a barrel of monkeys. The Museum of Science has scary dinosaurs, loud electric bursts, and an Imax screen the size of a basketball court, and it’s still extremely educational. The Kidspace at Mass MoCA has really mind-blowing art, including some uniquely interactive work. At the Discovery Museums in Acton, kids can bounce a ball three stories high or engineer their own train track. Of course, if your family loves those quiet museums, we have plenty of those too.
