Lexington Symphony and Music Director Jonathan McPhee are pleased to present the Symphony's annual Kids' Workshop and Concert, an enjoyable, interactive, family-friendly event that brings classical music to life and gives kids the opportunity to engage one-on-one with members of the orchestra. From 2:00-3:00 p.m., kids can try their hand at playing orchestral instruments and at conducting their own group of players. At 3:00 p.m., the Symphony offers a special concert featuring music from Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and Martin. This event is one of many community outreach efforts the Symphony will undertake during its 2013-2014 season. Tickets, which are priced at $20 for adults and $12 for children 12 and under, can be purchased online, by telephone, or at the door.
