    "Talk of the Town" Speakers Series presents Jim Coogan, author, columnist and lecturer. During the War of 1812 Massachusetts trade and prosperity fell victim to the almost three year conflict. Cape Cod was blockaded and attacked by British warships. Mr. Coogan will review significant happenings 200 years ago in 1814 as they affected Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket. -Sandwich Glass Museum, Hirschmann Theater, 129 Main St. Sandwich, MA. 508-888-0251 Seating is limited. Doors open at 6:30pm, program begins at 7. Presented as part of the Sandwich 375th Anniversary Celebration.
