The Emperor's New Clothes, by Hans Christian Anderson, adapted by E. Gray Simons III and directed by Travis G Daly. The latest reports claim "The Emperor loves fashion!" In fact, he is so consumed with designer clothing that he thinks about nothing else in his kingdom. His Ministers' concern over his obsession grows as the Emperor informs them that he will be spending a fortune in gold and gems to pay a Weaver to make him a robe woven from the most fabulous cloth in the world. And not only is the fabric incomparably beautiful, but the Weaver also claims that it is invisible to anyone who is not fit for his or her job or is hopefully witless. What no one sees is that the Weaver is a swindler, who is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. The comedy mounts when the Ministers and everyone else pretend to see the nonexistent cloth for fear of appearing inept. The Emperor's New Clothes is a royal and fabulous fashion extravaganza for all ages. $15 adult, $8 child, Museum members $5 adult, $3 child, children under 3 free
