The Williamstown Film Festival (WFF) returns to MASS MoCA with a screening of A Birder's Guide to Everything. This delightful feature, which was a 2013 Tribeca Film Festival audience favorite, follows 15-year-old birding fanatic David Portnoy (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road) and a trio of his friends - Timmy (Alex Wolff), Peter (Michael Chen) and Ellen (Katherine Chang) - on an epic adventure to find a supposedly extinct duck, solidify a place in birding history, and inadvertently, for Portnoy, come to terms with the recent death of his mother. A Birders Guide to Everything marks a feature debuts for its writer Luke Matheny and director Rob Meyer, both WFF alumni. Luke - whose hilarious short God of Love won the Reeve Award at WFF and then went on to capture a 2011 Academy Award - will fly in to introduce Birder's Guide and do a talkback afterward. $15 in advance / $18 day of / $8 students
