The artworks on view have been gathered as part of a project to welcome Smith College President Kathleen McCartney and introduce her to the Museum's collection and what it means to our community. Smith alumnae, students, teachers, friends, and neighbors chose the art in this gallery because each work has a special meaning or memory for them. Additional personal stories accompany artworks throughout the Museum's galleries. The installation is supported by the Louise Walker Blaney, class of 1939, Fund for Exhibitions.
