Spend Halloween evening with the mysterious ghostly dogs of "Kerfol," in the Drawing Room at The Mount- just steps away from Edith Wharton's own pet cemetery. On Thursday, October 31, The Mount will present a reading of "Kerfol," one of Edith Wharton's most disconcerting ghost stories. Doors will open at 6 pm, and the reading will start at 6:30. Free cider will be provided; other beverages and light refreshments will be available for purchase. The bookstore will be open. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 to members. Costumes encouraged, free memberships given for best costume. Space for this event is limited and advance purchase is strongly encouraged. Please visit or call 413-551-5100 to purchase your ticket.
