Get your whole family exploring and learning in the outdoors during Families Around the Bay, a series of three free outings on Saturdays in October and November. Through fun games and hands-on activities, your whole family can learn about Buzzards Bay's animals, plants and habitats. Recommended for families with elementary school-aged children. Dates and Locations Saturday, Oct. 26: "Beach Exploration" at East Beach (1076 East Rodney French Blvd., New Bedford) Saturday, Nov. 2: "Salt Marsh Exploration" at Little Bay Marsh (1 Edgewater St., Fairhaven) Saturday, Nov. 9: "Forest Exploration" at the Flora B. Peirce Nature Trail (100 Falmouth St., New Bedford) This event is free and reservations are required.
