    The New School of Music is a community music school located in Cambridge for students of all ages and levels. NSM offers programs in a non-competitive, student centered learning environment from professional musicians with a passion for teaching. NSM offers private and group lessons, master classes, vacation programs, seasonal family events, and a community concert series on the 2nd Sunday of the month. Our 2013/14 Class Catalog is available to download online. Below is a sample of what NSM offers: Early Childhood Music and Movement Programs Beginning simply with singing, moving, and exploring rhythm instruments, we add levels of complexity as the children grow, expanding the singing repertoire, teaching more complex dances, and building instrumental ensembles. Musikgarten Classes - Family Music for Babies | newborn to 12 months Musikgarten Classes - Family Music for Toddlers | ages 1-3 Intro to Dalcroze-Eurhythmics | ages 3-4 Move & Play - a Dalcroze plus Group Piano class�| ages 6-8 Group Instrument Classes Group Violin | ages 4-6 and for adults Beginning Recorder | ages 5-9 Beginning Piano | ages 6-8 and for adults Group Voice Sing What You Love! Popular Music Ensemble for Kids | ages 9-14 NSM Gospel/Soul Choir | all ages Vacation Programs NSM offers vacation programs during the public school vacation weeks and throughout the summer. Programs generally run full-days, 9-3pm with before and aftercare available. Past programs include Kids' Cabaret (musical theater) for ages 7-14, Music Discoveries for ages 5-10, and World Music Explorers for ages 5-10.
