Harpsichordist Victor Hill presents a program of Johan Sebastian Bach pieces, including Toccata in C minor, BWV 911; Partita 1 in B-flat major, BWV 825; Partita 2 in C minor, BWV 826; and Toccata in D major, BWV 912. The concert is free. Hill plays the two-manual harpsichord of eighteenth-century Franco-Flemish design that was built for him in 1997 by Richard Kingston of Asheville, North Carolina. He has tuned it at A=415 (a semitone below modern A=440) and in the Werckmeister III unequal temperament of 1691.
