Early New Englanders celebrated George Washington's birthday with enthusiasm and vigor: dancing, Washington cake, toasts -- the list goes on. Old Sturbridge Village recreates these spirited celebrations in a style that harkens back to the early 19th century. Visitors can participate in toasts to Washington's life and legacy, learn about dancing etiquette at the Washington Birthday Ball, and if your name is George or Martha -- your admission is free! Old Sturbridge Village is offering a Kids Free on Winter Weekends promotion through March 30th. Children 17 and under get in free during weekends when accompanied by an adult paying full-priced admission.
