Prominent historian Henry Wiencek shares his thorough examination of the dark side of this founding father. Wiencek's Jefferson is first and foremost a plantation owner--committed to slavery because he was utterly dependent on it for all his wealth, status, and power. This lecture is sold out. However, we are offering special tickets for a simulanteous audiocast in the room adjacent to the Stable auditorium. Patrons will be able to attend the tea and book signing following the lecture. Price: Members $5; General $10. No visuals will be available during the audiocast. For tickets, please call (413) 551-5100.
