The JFK Presidential Library and Museum is back open for business and ready to welcome visitors. With the beautiful weather upon us, Columbia Point is a perfect place to be. "We feel fortunate that no one was hurt and appreciate every¬one's efforts to provide for the safety of our staff, our visitors, and our collections," the ¬library said. "The damage to our building is real, but insignificant when compared to the lives lost and the injuries sustained in the bombings at the Boston Marathon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this tragedy and their families." The Museum itself was not affected by the fire and the damage to the building is not visible to the public eye with the exception of a door that has been blocked off where the fire took place. And recently opened is our special exhibit "To The Brink: JFK and the Cuban Missile Crisis" in our new special exhibit space.
