    The new exhibition "Matryoshka: The Russian Nesting Doll" features 83 Matryoshka sets of lavishly painted wooden nesting dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other. Whether depicting ancient legends, religious themes, or political caricatures, Matryoshkas can reveal a subtle narrative--as one bell-shaped doll opens to reveal the next one inside--about the history and culture of Russia.
