During the month of April, First Church in Boston will be welcoming two published poets each Thursday, from 12:15-12:45, to read from their original work. Curated by poet Mary Collins, the series features a diversity of writers from a variety of backgrounds. The schedule is as follows: April 4: Kemi Alabi and Tom Daley, two dramatic and outspoken poets launch our lunchtime poetry series; April 11: Ellen Beth Siegel and Holly Zeeb, both women poet/therapists, offer their own unique and thoughtful views; April 18; Mary Collins and Adnan Onart, First Church in Boston member/poets from very different religious backgrounds share aesthetic values; April 25: Beatriz Alba Del Rio poet/lawyer and lifetime member of the New England Poetry Club, founded by Robert Frost, and Emerson College professor Daniel Tobin, vice president of same, relate their deep respect for the poetic tradition.
