Historic Preservation for a Better Boston - Join the Conversation!

Co-Presented by Old South Meeting House and the Boston Preservation Alliance. Part of the Series Churches, Cafes & Community Centers: Historic Preservation for Boston's Neighborhoods, Co-Sponsored by LivableStreets Alliance

74% of Boston voters supported the Community Preservation Act (CPA) last November, showing us that Bostonians have a great deal of enthusiasm for what this multifaceted program can do for their city. Now the challenge of turning concept into reality is upon us. What types of preservation work can the CPA fund? How have historic resources benefited from CPA funding in other communities? A panel of local experts will set the stage, then we'll turn the discussion to you. Which historic buildings, artifacts, or other resources in your neighborhood do you think should be prioritized? Do you know of historic properties that could make great affordable housing or include historic park space? Bring your ideas and questions to this lively discussion about "building a better Boston" with preservation!

This program is made possible in part with funding from the Lowell Institute. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, registration requested at //osmhmay25-17.bpt.me
