President's Day Fee-Free Boott Cotton Mills

In honor of Presidents' Day, Lowell National Historical Park will be waiving museum fees for all visitors at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum on Monday, February 20, 2017. Lowell National Historical Park would like to invite our communities to visit and to learn more about the history, heritage and people of Lowell. Explore on your own, or join a ranger for a talk at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum.

Lots of great events will be taking place on Monday, February 20, and throughout the week as part of Lowell Kids Week. Check out the great, free, family-friendly programs at www.lowellkidsweek.org, where a complete schedule of programs will be available on February 1.

The Boott Cotton Mills Museum tells the story of America's Industrial Revolution, labor, and the rise, fall, and rebirth of Lowell. The museum includes an operating 1920s weave room, and is currently open daily from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. The museum will be open from 12 noon - 5 p.m. on the February 20 fee free day. Visitors are encouraged to begin their visit at the National Park Visitor Center at 246 Market Street. Free parking is available at the Visitor Center parking lot at 304 Dutton Street (an approximately 10-15 minute walk from the Boott Mills- paid parking is available one block from the Boott Mills in the city garage at French and John Streets).
