At the first annual Spring Garden Weekend, help the gardeners prepare for the growing season, watch craftspeople build the tools of the trade, and learn how 19th-century New Englanders cultivated their gardens. Get your own garden ready for spring with our Tomato Plant Giveaway and Heirloom Plant Sale on Saturday, May 14, 2016 to bring the flavors, fragrances, and foliage of the 19th century into your own backyard. The Heirloom Plant Sale will feature over 75 varieties of heirloom herbs, flowers and tomato plants with prices between $3 and $5 per plant.
The first 200 individuals or families to visit Old Sturbridge Village on May 14, 2016 will receive a voucher at the Visitor Center for a FREE tomato plant. This voucher is redeemable at the plant sale booth, adjacent to the Fuller Conference Center, between 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Voucher and free tomato plant limited to 1 per family.
