McNaught and Buffenmyer began collaborating as a creative exercise in experimentation, using oil, acrylic, charcoal, graphite and pastel. Their individual styles-McNaught's, accumulative, rigorous and repetitive, and Buffenmyer's, varied and whimsical-challenge and complement each other, yielding unexpected results. The conversation between their understandings of the visual world draws out new perceptions and informs their non-collaborative works.

The artists' reception takes place on Friday, February 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, in conjunction with the Eleventh Annual College Show.
