A Yidstock favorite, Klezperanto returns with its all-star line-up led by the Pioneer Valley's own Ilene Stahl, one of the world's top klezmer clarinetists and a longtime member of the Klezmer Conservatory Band. With solid klezmer roots, spectacular technical virtuosity, and a wry sense of humor, Klezperanto re-grooves traditional klezmer and Mediterranean melodies, rips up Romanian surf tunes, covers cop-show themes and cumbias, slays a few standards, and burnishes it all to a funky finish.
