Opening Exhibit - Plymouth History in a Glass

Japanese Tea Ceremony
Held in the tea hut situated in a Japanese garden on the museum grounds. Shofuan, the "Wind in The Pines Hut" was built in Kyoto Japan in 1969 and reassembled here in 1975. Shofuan is a traditional san jo daime (3 & 3/4 size) hut. Japanese huts are described by the number of mats they accommodate.
