The Taste of the Vineyard is the kick-off to the Vineyard's summer social season! The Island's finest restaurants, caterers and beverage purveyors can all be found in the same place at the same time for this one night only. This is your chance to sample the Vineyard's best food, wine and hand-crafted beers as you catch up with old friends after a long, cold winter. Cruising through the tents, you'll savor a quot;Taste" from more than 75 outstanding fine food and beverage participants. Then, you can dance off all those calories with the hottest band around - Jerry Bennett and the Sultans of Swing. And, for great memories of the Taste of the Vineyard, photographer Joe Mikos will be there with his famous couch and "Shoot Yourself" camera. Your photos are available for purchase on line the very next day! Tickets to the Taste of the Vineyard go on sale on May 15. Don't wait or hesitate - tickets for the Taste of the Vineyard are limited and it's always a sell-out! You must be 21 to attend. Under 30? Bring your ID! $150 per person.

Guided Walking Tours of the Campground
Oak Bluffs
Guided walking tours of the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association grounds are offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 am during the months of July and August. The tour begins with a short presentation in the Tabernacle followed by a one hour guided walk through the Campground. The fee which includes a pass to the Cottage Museum is $10 for adults. Children under 10 are free. Private tours may be arranged by calling 508-693-0525.

Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival Oak Bluffs
This four day event honors and supports aspiring African American filmmakers and their achievements with screenings of shorts and feature-length films as well as actor's workshops, celebrity question-and-answer sessions, panel discussions, wine tastings, and a Black Art Expo. Event sponsors include HBO and Universal and the festival is being touted as the hottest African-American film festival in the country.
