Explore 2.5 miles of trails on 110 acres featuring Barnstable Harbor & Sandy Neck & lighthouse views, butterfly meadows, ponds, forests and farm animals. Long Pasture's Nature Center features exhibts and year round programs for all ages including bird, butterfly, shore and goat walks, kayak tours (some including lighthouse tours), marine discovery cruises and Cuttyhunk & Penikese Island tours. For these and Winter and Spring Activities, refer to our website for programs such as a "Bring Your Own Snowshoes" (or cross country skiis) walk, Woodcock Courtship Events, Field School classes on Photography as well as Ornithology and Grassland Bird Conservation on Cape Cod. Long Pasture's trails are open from dawn to dusk. Contact Center Director, Ian Ives or Education Director, Josh Wrigley for more information or to arrange a program for your family or group. A Lecture/Meeting room is available for scheduled events.
