Fall River Historical Society (FRHS) is housed in a French Second Empire mansion with a magnificent period interior that was once a station on the Underground Railroad. Our curators are among the top Lizzie Borden experts in the world and our exhibits include Echoes of Lizzie: The Borden Murder Mystery Exhibit, the largest existing collection of artifacts pertaining to the life and trial of Lizzie Borden, among them the alleged murder weapon and original crime scene photos. The collection has increased dramatically over the past several years, and the museum has acquired important pieces that were previously held in private collections in Europe, Asia, and North America. These include rare and recently discovered examples of Lizzie Borden's correspondence and personal possessions.
